Example Comics about Dmitri Mendeleev's and Henry Moseley's contributions to chemistry.

Important Guidelines and Information:

Atom Discovery Comic Project - this is an in-class partner laptop project. You and your partner will be assigned one of the following historical scientists in the field of chemistry: John Dalton, Ernest Rutherford, JJ Thompson, or Dimitri Mendeleev. Using a special program called Comic Life, you will create a comic depicting their discovery and contribution to science.

Project Sequence:

• Comic Life Overview Lesson
• Research your scientist
• Creation of your comic
• Printing your comic

Project Guidelines:

• Your comic must include:
  • Images of your scientist
  • Where and When the discovery happened
  • Explanation of the discovery
  • Why the discovery was important

Assignment Documents:

• Images of each scientist and general chemsitry clip art are located in a folder called "Atoms" on your latop desktop.
